Process for Questions and Concerns Regarding Courtesy Busing Transportation

  1. 1. Contact K-12 Transportation Coordinator.
    Kelly Sheehan, 908-647-4800 extension 4811 or ksheehan@whrhs.org
  2. Transportation Coordinator will respond within two (2) school days of the receipt of the communication (e.g. email, voice-mail, written communication) or sooner wherever possible.
  3. A response may not necessarily result in addressing or resolving the question or concern if additional effort is required to research and respond again in a complete and thorough manner. However, the actionable steps that are being taken (or planned to be taken) with regard to answering the question or concern will be shared. Every effort will be made to resolve the question or concern as quickly as possible.
  4. In the event that the question and/or concern was not addressed effectively by the Transportation Coordinator, or that the provided answer or resolution is not accepted and requires additional review, the Superintendent of Schools should be contacted.
Dr. Julie Glazer, 908-755-8121, or jglazer@watchungschools.us
  5. The Superintendent will review the response of the Transportation Coordinator, and/or the provided answer or resolution. As required, the Superintendent will consult with those appropriate to provide the research and basis of the provided answer or resolution, seek guidance on possible alternate answers or resolutions, and make a recommendation to support, amend, modify, or revise the provided answer or resolution.
  6. If the Superintendent’s recommendation is not accepted, the Board of Education President should be contacted for additional review and consideration.
    President: Danielle Amedeo, damedeo@watchungschools.us

Why is the Board of Education having a referendum?

The Board is committed to providing a first-rate educational experience for all students. In the development of its long-range facilities plan (LRFP), the board identified facility infrastructure and renovation projects that will allow the district to ensure the continued safe operation and maintenance of its school buildings and create new learning opportunities by transforming outdated rooms into 21st-century learning spaces.
