Before & After Care

The Watchung Borough School District is proud to offer a Before and After School Program to our students. The Programs will run daily at Bayberry School on days when school is in session.

During the regular school year, Before Care is available from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. After Care is available from dismissal until 6:30 pm.

During the summer programs, Before Care will be open from 7:30am to the start of the summer program at Bayberry School. After Care will be available at Bayberry School for students participating in summer programs in both schools from the end of the summer program until 5:30 pm.

All Board Policies and Procedures, including the Restart and Recovery Plan, are in effect during Before and After Care. This may include social distancing, wearing face coverings, hand washing and sanitizing, frequent cleaning, and individual materials to avoid the sharing of items.

During Before and After Care Programs, children will be engaged in a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, homework time, and snack time.

Inclement Weather

If the district is closed for an inclement weather day, Before Care and After Care Programs are cancelled for that day. If a delayed opening is announced, Before Care is cancelled.

If the district announces an early dismissal from school due to inclement weather, After Care will be cancelled. All students will leave school at the end of the school day based on the early dismissal schedule. Parents of children who participate in After Care will be notified to determine whether their child will take the bus home or be picked up at the early dismissal time.

If weather conditions deteriorate after school hours while the After Care Program is in operation, the After Care Program may close early. The After Care Program Coordinator will reach out to parents and emergency contacts on record to pick up their child.

2023-2024 Before and After Care Summer Program Registration

Before and After Care Program Registration is Now OPEN

We are excited to announce that registration for the Watchung Borough School District Before and After Care program is now open!

You may register to create your CommunityPass Account now.

To create a new account, register an existing account, login or register for a program, follow the instructions found within this email or on the CommunityPass site.

How to Create a Family Account

Go to: https://register.capturepoint.com/WatchungBoroughSchoolDistrict
From the CommunityPass login homepage click on the “Create an Account” tab.
On the next page complete the “Account Creation” fields and click on Create at the bottom of the page.
On the next page you will see the CommunityPass Privacy Statement. After reading, click ‘Accept.’ Then click ‘Finish.’

Please save your login and password for future use. Only one account per family is permitted.

How to Register for Programs

Go to: https://register.capturepoint.com/WatchungBoroughSchoolDistrict and login to CommunityPass using the login and password for your existing Family account.
On the next page, Click the ‘Click Here to Register’ button.
On the Select Participants Page, select the person(s) registering to the program, then select ‘Continue’.
On the ‘Select Programs Page’, for each person select the programs for registration, then click on ’Continue’.
Complete the selections on the following pages until payment is completed.

If you already have an existing Community Pass account with another Organization

follow these steps to register that account with the Watchung Borough School District:

to https://register.capturepoint.com/WatchungBoroughSchoolDistrict and login to CommunityPass using the login and password for your existing Family account.
From the Watchung School District CommunityPass homepage click on the “My Account” tab, select “Update Account Information” and if required, update your profile. If no changes are required, continue to Step 3.
On the upper right-hand side of your CommunityPass account, click on the “Log Out” of Community Pass tab. Your account is now active with the Watchung Borough School District CommunityPass system.
