With Covid cases rising across the state, our region has moved back into the orange, high-activity level. Unfortunately, this means that unvaccinated students who are identified as close contacts must quarantine for 14 days without an option to shorten the period with a negative test. Previously, the quarantine had been 10 days with the option to test out after 7 days. According to state guidelines, vaccinated students are not required to quarantine.
To address this lengthier period, we are expanding our instructional support with more synchronous learning opportunities for our students who are directed to quarantine by our health offices. These supports will be in place this week.
Please continue to screen your children each morning and keep them home if they are sick. We appreciate your ongoing support.
