Dear Parents and School Community Members,
We are pleased that the timing of the storm allowed us to avoid a delayed opening or school closure this morning. It was great having the students in school for the full day.
We are writing to let you know that the NJDOH revised its quarantine guidance again. Basically, the updated guidance clarifies the close-contact quarantine criteria for students and indicates that up-to-date vaccination now includes boosters for students ages 12 and above. The changes are highlighted in yellow on pages 11-12 on the revised guidance document, which is dated January 19. The document is on our COVID-19 Dashboard, along with NJDOH's COVID-19: Information for Schools, among other resources.
Pursuant to the guidance and in consultation with our local health official, we have until February 1, to begin following these guidelines. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s school nurse.
We would also like to inform you that two local vaccine clinics have been scheduled, one on Monday, January 24 in Green Brook and one on Friday, January 28 at WHRHS. Health officials continue to recommend vaccination as the top mitigation strategy, and up-to-date vaccines help us keep the children in school if identified as close contacts.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
