Dear Parents and School Community Members,
As Thanksgiving approaches, I am writing to express my deep gratitude for everyone’s support and cooperation. I am particularly grateful for the collective commitment to health and safety, which has been the foundation for keeping our schools open for in-person instruction and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.
I also want to make sure you know that we are in regular communication with our health official and remain committed to keeping in-person instruction in place for as long as we can. The best way to do that is to continue following our health and safety protocols and staying as vigilant and cautious as possible. Everyone has been doing an outstanding job so far, and I am confident we can continue to support our students and our schools by working together.
Please remember we require families traveling to one of the states on NJ’s travel advisory list to keep their children home for the 14-day quarantine period and advise their child’s school. In addition, a child who has been potentially exposed to the virus outside of school or been deemed a close contact must follow the 14-day quarantine, and the parents must let their child’s school know. We appreciate everyone’s diligence in completing the daily screening forms.
We all are fortunate to be part of a wonderful community that puts students first and is willing to work together to keep everyone safe. I find it a great privilege to be part of that effort.
You have my best wishes for a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving.
Very truly yours,
George P. Alexis
