Dear Parents and School Community Members,
The NJ Department of Health has revised its guidelines and returned the quarantine period for unvaccinated students to 10 days with the option to test out after 7 days. Vaccinated students are not required to quarantine. But the health department recommends that close contacts get tested 5-7 days after exposure, regardless of vaccination status.
Our health office is contacting families of quarantined students to address individual circumstances based on the new state guidelines. Please direct your questions to the health office.
With Covid cases rising dramatically across the state and the holidays quickly approaching, we are committed to keeping the schools open for in-person instruction, but we need everyone’s cooperation over the next several weeks. Please continue to screen your children each morning and keep them home if they are sick.
In addition, following health and safety precautions outside of school help us avoid disruptions to our instructional and co-curricular programs for our students. Please also note that health officials continue to recommend vaccines as the best way to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep everyone safe.
We appreciate your ongoing support. Thank you. Have a great weekend.
