Dear Parents and School Community Members,
As the holiday break approaches and Covid cases continue to rise across the state, I want you to know we remain in regular communication with our local health official and committed to maintaining a safe environment for our students and staff. The rising cases in schools is a reflection of the rising cases in all communities currently, and based on our health official’s recommendation, our plan is to keep our schools open for in-person instruction after the holiday break.
Because it does not appear that this Omicron surge will ebb anytime soon, we need everyone’s cooperation in remaining cautious and vigilant over the holiday break. Following health and safety precautions outside of school help us keep the schools open. And again, please remember that health officials continue to recommend vaccines and boosters as the best way to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep everyone safe.
We will update you, of course, if anything changes. For now, please remember that the schools are following early dismissal schedules tomorrow.
Thank you for your ongoing support. On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire staff, I offer warm wishes for a safe, healthy, and relaxing holiday break.
